What We Offer at HSFGR

HSFGR – Heritage Silky Fainting Goat Registry exists to serve breeders, families, and farms who love and value the heritage of silky fainting goats.

We focus on three big areas:

  1. Support for breeders, youth, and small farms
  2. Accurate registrations & records
  3. Fair, meaningful shows & titles

Registration & Record Services

We provide registration for qualifying Heritage Silky Fainting Goats with a focus on accurate pedigrees and clear rules.

With HSFGR you can record pedigrees and keep lines traceable over time. Transfer ownership when goats move to new homes and update information with documented changes. Anyone with historical information is welcome to share with us, to populate our database, and trace this lovely breed back to their roots.

We apply our rules consistently to every member, regardless of farm size, popularity, or history. Our goal is that when someone sees HSFGR on a registration, they trust what’s documented there.

Transparent Processes

We understand that mistakes, questions, and gray areas happen. That’s why HSFGR has written procedures for corrections and appeals. There are clear expectations for documentation when changes are requested, and we are commitment to respond in a timely, respectful way.

While honest errors may occur – we are here to fix records and move forward with integrity.

A Member-Focused Registry

HSFGR is designed to stay approachable and people-centered. Your herd is your passion, your focus, and a significant financial endeavor. As a member you can expect access to not only registration services, but a community and culture of like-minded breeders. A registry of breeders that is inclusive and promotes the breed both in and out of the show ring. As a member, you will have a voice in proposed rule changes, receive regular updates on policy decisions and news, and be a part of a community that values kindness, clarity, and cooperation.

We welcome long-time breeders, new farms just starting their silky fainting journey, as well as youth and families raising goats as part of farm life.

Show & Title Programs

Our show and title structure is built to reward quality, correct type, and consistency.

HSFGR show programs are built around written judge guidelines that emphasize professionalism and fairness. Scoring and title systems that are clear and reproducible. A ring culture that prioritizes sportsmanship, learning, and respect. The opportunity to earn recognizable titles that mean something over time. When participation in our shows you will find a culture where members and families are treated with respect and  we hope to create an environment where education and camaraderie are equally important as ribbons. We are all mentors, intentional or not. What we do, how we act and how we build sets the tone for the future for our youth and this breed.
