Who we are
HSFGR is a registry for Heritage Silky Fainting Goats.

Data Security & Access
HSFGR uses access controls to limit who can view or manage sensitive information. Member-only tools and forms may require login. Internal records, enforcement documentation, and administrative notes are restricted to authorized roles.
What May Be Public vs. Member-Only
To maintain transparency and trust, certain information may be displayed as part of official registry records. HSFGR may provide public-facing registry information such as:
- Goat registered name and registration number
- Division/classification and basic pedigree lineage
- Earned titles/awards and show record entries (where applicable)
HSFGR will not publicly display personal contact information (such as private email, phone, or address) unless a member explicitly chooses to publish it.
What Information We Collect
We collect information that you choose to share with us, including:
- Information on membership forms (name, contact details, basic farm info).
- Information on goat registration and transfer forms (your details plus animal information).
- Information you send through contact forms or email (questions, feedback).
- Information related to shows, youth participation, or judge applications, if you choose to take part.
We do not intentionally collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian.
Photos, Media, and Member Submissions
Photos and media may be used for registry purposes, including identification verification, education, and showcasing official title holders, unless otherwise restricted by the submitter.
- Members retain ownership of their photos/media.
- By submitting photos/media to HSFGR, you grant HSFGR permission to use them for registry operations, recordkeeping, and official communications.
- If a member requests limits on public use of submitted media, HSFGR will make reasonable efforts to honor those preferences where practical.

We do not sell your personal information your browser settings.
Sharing of Information & How We Might Share it
- With service providers who help us operate the registry (for example, website hosting or email services).
- When required by law, or when necessary to protect the registry, our members, or the public.
We do not share your details for third-party marketing.

You can usually control cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep information
We keep registry records, membership and registration information as long as needed to:
- Maintain accurate herdbooks and show records, and
- Meet any legal or bookkeeping requirements.
If you stop being a member, we may still retain registration and show records connected to goats you registered, to protect the integrity of the registry.
Your Choices
- You can contact us to update or correct your contact details.
- Ask questions about how your information is used.
Because registry records are part of the permanent history of the herdbook, we may not be able to remove all information about past registrations, transfers, or show results, but we will work with you to correct errors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes may also be noted on our website.
