HSFGR Class List & Ring Procedure
Official class order and show flow used at all HSFGR-sanctioned events.
CLASS STRUCTURE (Regional Shows)
Animals are shown by age and sex as follows:
Kid Does
Class 1 — 0–3 months
Class 2 — 3–6 months
- 1st through 4th place are awarded in each class.
- The 1st and 2nd place class winners return to compete for:
Grand Champion Kid Doe
Reserve Grand Champion Kid Doe
Junior Does
Class 3 — 6–9 months
Class 4 — 9–12 months
Class 5 — 12–16 months
Class 6 — 16–20 months
Class 7 — 20–24 months
- 1st through 4th place are awarded in each class.

Mature Does
Class 8 — 24–36 months

Show Age Calculator
Use this tool to calculate a goat’s exact age for each day of a show and estimate the correct HSFGR doe or buck class. Helpful for exhibitors, show secretaries, and judges.
Note: Age should be verified for each individual show day. A goat may move into a different age class during a multi-day show. Final class placement is subject to the official HSFGR show rules and published class list. Wether classes will be handled seperatly through the Youth Program.
