So, You’ve Decided to Join HSFGR?

Welcome, we are happy you are here!

Here is the easy route to becoming a member, setting up your account, and getting your goats entered into the HSFGR record system.

You do not have to read the entire website before taking the first step. Some members like to study first, and others apply first and explore the Barn after approval. Either way, this simple map will help you move through membership, registration, records, and member resources one step at a time.

The HSFGR Quick Route

2. Watch for Approval

HSFGR will review your application and email a follow up if anything else is needed.

If approved, you will receive a invoice for payment. Once your membership payment is received, your Herd Certificate will be issued & emailed to you. Please, save a copy for your records. You may keep it in a file on your computer, print it for your farm records, or both.

3. Set Up Your Member Account

You will receive an email with member access information. Follow the instructions to set up & log in to your account.

4. Gather Your Goat Records

Collect photos, registration papers, pedigrees, tattoos, ID information, bills of sale, and breeder records.

Select the box on the form that fits your situation:

New Registration – Registering a whole brand new goat with us. Naming: use the HSFGR Name Checking Tool, also available IN the Registration Form. Register up to 10 goats in one submission.

Move-Over Registration – Moving goats from another registry? Additional information may be needed including proof of parentage.

Transfer – Selling a goat? Choose this option, follow any instructions and fill out all areas.

Record Update – Want to submit an updated photo? Did a member of your herd pass? Eye color change? Intact status? I faint after you registered me, Choose this for updates. 

6. Submit Your Goat Application(s)

ALL Submissions: Once you click submit on the form, your designated email will open and automatically populate SEND TO: with [email protected]. You will then need to attach supporting documentation to that email before sending. Please read all instructions on the form carefully. Have questions? Send me an email. 

Please Note: all photos & supporting documentation must be attached and sent by email. Please ZIP it if submitting a large amount. 

7. HSFGR Reviews the Records

Applications are reviewed for identity, documentation, eligibility, and registry requirements.

8. Receive Your HSFGR Records

Approved goats receive HSFGR record and certificate information.

HSFGR Official Certificates of Registration will be delivered by email. Optional printed certificates with the HSFGR seal are available for an additional fee.

9. Explore the HSFGR Barn

Visit the Office, Library, Show Ring, Lounge, Loft, and other member resources as you go.
